Surely you don’t think that a man popularly believed to be the most hated man in the world would so much as take a sip without someone tasting it first? Without question, being a food taster for Russia’s president is a six-figure job that comes with lots of perks and nice suits. However, this is definitely one six-figure job people won’t queue up to take, money regardless. It would be like playing a game of Russian roulette, only without the game and the stake is your life.

Dog Euthanizer

This is, without a doubt, one job many people will turn down, even if it comes with a six-figure paycheck. Can you imagine your entire life revolving around putting dogs to sleep permanently? It’s a guarantee that one week on the job and you’ll need to start stocking up on sleeping pills because the haunting death cries of beautiful beasts will plague your nights.

Garbage Collector

People often claim that they can do anything for a huge sum of money; however, it’s pretty much of a stretch, isn’t it? Assuming you got an offer to work as a garbage collector for a huge paycheck, chances are you’d still turn it down.
This is primarily because this job is physically demanding, and then there’s the exposure problems, too. Even if you go ahead and start the job with full knowledge of the distasteful conditions, all it’ll take is a few days in, and you’ll quit and not look back.

Sewage Treatment Plant Operator

Do you have any idea of what a sewage treatment plant operator does? If you do, you’ll immediately agree that even a six-figure paycheck isn’t enough motivation to start. Sewage treatment is actually a career with high job security primarily because no one wants to do it. Chances are, after one week of work, you’ll have a permanent odor surrounding you. The choice here is between smelling nice and having a near-permanent odious smell that follows you around.

Kamikaze Pilot

People always complain about job security being an issue; however, this is something you won’t have to worry about as a kamikaze pilot… for apparent reasons. As a kamikaze pilot, you literally have only one job, and after that, it’s next stop, the pearly gates. Earning six figures per flight as a pilot might first sound attractive, but when you realize that it’s a one-way journey, the attraction drops sharply.

Crime Scene Cleaner

A crime scene cleaner’s job is basically straightforward; all you have to do is clean, Diane, and repeat. However, the truth is there are only so many crime scenes you can clean before your mind starts to break under the strain of trauma you’ve experienced. Needless to say, that six-figure paycheck might just be what you repurpose to begin mental health treatment.

Toll Booth Operator

Have you ever wondered what it must feel like to be a toll booth operator? To most people, it sounds like the dream job, getting paid to sit around all day and carry out pretty straightforward tasks. However, chances are, once you do it for a while, it’ll become very tedious. Repetitive and isolating. At this point, not even the promise of a huge salary will be enough to keep you interested in the job.

Miner

Usually, when people read about the Gold Rush, they immediately begin dreaming about going underground and digging for gold themselves. However, mining actually isn’t as easy as all that. It’s a very high-risk job since you have no way of knowing when some tremor or quake will cause your tunnels to collapse behind you. Plus, it is also incredibly tedious and frustrating.

Maintenance Worker

There are some jobs that most people will never take even if it was offered to them on a platter of gold. One such job is being a high-altitude maintenance worker. Can you imagine having to climb the dizzying heights of structures like the Empire State Building or the Burj Khalifa? To make matters worse, all you’ll have keeping you in place is just a safety belt.

Surgeon

Being a surgeon is a highly financially rewarding job; however, it’s also an area where lots of people have absolutely no interest in. The reason is simple… responsibility. As a surgeon, you literally get to play God with the lives of people who come to you for treatment. You hold people’s lives in your hands, and whether they live or die depends majorly on you. That’s a tremendous responsibility that even six-figures won’t be able to make a dent out of.

President

On one hand, being a president looks like you’ve literally hit the jackpot as far as jobs are concerned. You get to rule an entire nation, do what you want when you want, and all that, or so they say. Look closely, however, and you’ll discover that being a president is not all the fun it appears to be.

As a president, you’re in charge of the well-being of an entire nation. So no, you won’t have time to do anything else but attend to the nation’s problems. To make matters worse, people may not even properly see and appreciate the sacrifices you’re making.

Deep Sea Diver

For most people, being a deep-sea diver is an absolute no-no. The ocean is full of big and scary things that you’ll have to face. Some of these things are pretty nasty, and all you’ll have to protect yourself is a flashlight and an oxygen tank.
