The results shocked all as, all women found the photos of men with the 10 days’ worth of heavy stubble as the most attractive stage; while the other stages of beard growth were said to be “similarly less attractive” as quoted by Dixson and Brooks’ in their study. 

Men, on the other hand, found the heavy stubble and the fully bearded stages of equal attractiveness. 

However, they came to the same conclusion when it came down to rating the least attractive stage. Both women and men found the light, 5-day stubble as the least pleasing of all stages.
