She Wanted to Take Her Husband on a Romantic Trip
A husband and wife took two weeks off of work to enjoy a trip together. Seeing as the husband’s mother has always had an issue with the wife, the wife knew that things would turn sour and difficult. The wife left the booking to the husband while she paid for everything. However, things did not go as smoothly as she had hoped for.
It is Difficult for Them to Be Alone
The wife openly admits that it has always been difficult for them to be alone in their relationship, as the mother is always trying to get involved. At first, they never got on and didn’t see eye to eye. However, things soon changed when the mother started copying the wife and even dyed her hair the same shade.
The Husband’s Mother Insisted on Joining
When her husband’s mother found out about the trip, she insisted on joining them. Of course, this might never become an issue if the couple was allowed alone time or if the mother was not mean to the wife.
The Wife Said No, It Was Just for Them to Enjoy
The wife politely said no to this offer if she wanted the trip to be just for her and her husband.
The Mother Insisted and Tried to Get the Police Involved
However, the mother did not understand and threatened to get the police involved. After sending various messages and continuously calling her to try and beg for a space, she insisted that she would try to get the police involved so that they couldn’t go on the trip without her. Crazy, right?
The Wife Stood Her Ground and Said No
Quite rightly, the wife stood her ground, as she did not want the mother to spoil their trip and she said no.
The Husband Calmly Accepted
To the wife’s surprise, her husband calmly accepted; he admitted to his wife that he would let his mother know that she was not allowed to come on their trip. The wife was hoping that the answer coming from her son would be well taken.
Things Went Quiet
It seemed that the message had been passed on and had been well received by the mother as things got quiet. However, the wife does admit that things got suspiciously quiet and the mother was not contacting them as often as she once was. This might have felt nice for the wife to get some peace. However, it seemed very odd.
They Arrived at the Airport to a Big Surprise
Things have been quiet on the mother’s side for some time. However, the wife and husband got packing and planning for their two-week trip. They arrived at the airport, and the husband suspiciously kept looking left and right while walking ahead of him. She called out, “Why do you keep looking for someone?”, and he ignored her.
The Mother Was Joining
Shock horror, the husband ran up to his mom, who was waiting at the airport on her own, and it was pretty obvious that she was trying to join them on the trip and ruin it for them. As soon as the wife saw the mother, she turned around and headed towards the exit. She wasn’t having any of it, and she was ready to go home and leave the trip behind.
The Husband Has Bought a Spare Ticket
The husband admitted to the wife that he had bought his mother a spare ticket so that she could join them and the arguments could stop.
She Stormed Out and Went Home
However, the wife continued to walk towards the exit of the airport, and she headed straight home to cuddle her dog and cry into its fur. Although this might sound dramatic, it is what every honest person would do if they wanted to have some alone time with their partner and their parents kept interfering and surprising them at the airport when it was supposed to be just the two of them.
The Husband Blamed His Wife
Of course, the husband took his mother’s side and blamed the wife for her behavior. He followed her home and said that she had ruined the trip for everyone and herself.
He Told Her Parents
Instead of allowing things to die down, the argument would be set aside. He called her parents and told them everything there was to know about the story. Instead of supporting her, the wife’s parents told her she was wrong.
The Parents Said She Was to Blame
That’s right, her own parents said that she was to blame and that she had spoiled the trip for everyone. They told her she should have just sucked things up and allowed herself and her husband’s mother to enjoy it. Although the wife is stubborn, she has every right to be.
She Asked the Internet
The wife went to the Internet to ask if she was wrong and if she was a bad person for walking out of the airport when she saw her husband’s mom at the airport with her luggage. Many people say that the wife was right and that she should divorce him and leave that family as soon as she can. We do feel quite sorry for this woman because her plans have been canceled due to a mother who wasn’t allowing her son to have some peace and quiet with his wife.
